Be the difference.Job SummaryUnder relatively close supervision, repair, calibrate, and maintain all types of basic clinicial equipment technologies, devices, instruments, and systems. Inspect, install, and provide preventative maintenance of general clinical equipment.Accountabilities

• Repair, install maintain, calibrate and inspect a diverse range of therapeutic and diagnostic biomedical instrumentation and equipment. - 30%
• Perform preventative maintenance and electrical safety testing of clinical equipment, devices, and systems. - 30%
• Diagnose and correct system and equipment malfunctions. - 10%
• Maintain documentation on new equipment, inspections, and equipment repairs and failures - 20%
• Schedule and oversee third-party repair as necessary. - 10%
• Provide technical assistance and instruction on equipment operation and maintenance to personnel.- 10%Supervisory/Management ResponsibilitiesN/AMinimum RequirementsPost high school education up to 18 months -Enrolled in or graduated from an accredited ASBET or ASEET, Industrial Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or Electronic Engineering program or completion of a military biomedical training program.Required Certifications, Registries, LicensesSCDL - SC DRIVERS LICENSE (Lawson Code LSCD)In Lieu ofIn lieu of the experience and/or educational requirements indicated above a combination of education, training, and/or experience will be considered an equivalent substitution:Graduation from a military biomedical training program OR five years experience working in an Engineering department in a large healthcare institution (300+beds) may be substituted for the education requirement.Required Skills and ExperienceBasic Computer SkillsKnowledge of office equipment (fax/copier)Proficient computer skills (word processing, data base)Data EntryMathematical SkillsOther: Microsoft ExcelOther: Patient Equipment (Vitals, Suction, DefibOther: NetworkingFamiliarity with basic medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, arrhythmia recognition - Preferred2 years hospital or biomedical experience - PreferredEffective Date of ConversionWork ShiftDay (United States of America)LocationSCM-Greenville Memorial HospitalFacility1001 Corporate Services - UpstateDepartment10018209 Clinical EngineeringShare your talent with us!
