Job Description:

Adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill a Fraud Prevention Specialist position in Greenville, SC. This is a 6 month contract opportunity with a possible extension. As a Fraud Prevention Specialist you will be responsible for Managing 70-100 calls/day from other Banks/F.I.'s to verify details; Entering e-mails into database - uploaded nightly and any errors could cause someone to not receive their money

Responsibilities for this Fraud Prevention Specialist job include:

*Analyzes suspected deposited and on-us checks for fraudulent items.

*Managing 70-100 calls per day from other Banks/Financial Institutions to verify details

*Entering e-mails into database - uploaded nightly and any errors could cause someone to not receive their money

*Detects and monitors suspicious accounts for fraudulent activity.

*Detects fraudulent outbound wire transfers.

*Communicates with retail branches any change in status on customer accounts involving suspected item and specific dollar exposure.

*Supports management team, ensuring regular reports are completed on time. Interacts with other banking institutions to verify funds and relationship of customer.

*Contacts check makers to verify validity of suspected checks.

*Provides efficient and professional service to both branches and customers in responding to inquiries.

Qualifications:

*High School Diploma or its equivalent

*1 year fraud prevention experience

*2 - 4 years branch banking experience or Bachelor's degree.

*2 years data entry experience

*1-2 years experience with the Microsoft Office Suite of Products

*Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

The shift for this position is Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM

Training will be the first week of employment, Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
