Job SummaryHelpDesk Technician The HelpDesk Technician is the starting point and face of the IT team to the rest of the organization and will be expected to provide a great level of customer service with a positive and creative approach to problem solving. They will be a hands on resource across all functions within the organization and will be expected to jump in on various projects as needed.The HelpDesk Technician will provide Tier 1 and Tier 2, full-service, telephone, remote access and in person full technical support and service for end users of our software applications. This position will trouble shoot, resolve and when necessary, redirect calls for various hardware problems. This position will play a predominant role in managing and maintaining IT facilities, equipment and materials, in an effort to improve efficiency of operations. This position will also assist in new hire orientation by training new employees in IT equipment set up and problem resolution.* Answer, evaluate, and prioritize incoming service tickets from users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies* Diagnose and resolve hardware problems; such as personal computers, modems, printers, cables, and telephones* Contact software and hardware vendors to request service regarding defective products* Install personal computers, software, and peripheral equipment* Create and maintain run-books to create a knowledge base of ticket resolutionsRequirements* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS or similar, equivalent work experience considered* PC, Apple and mobile device hardware/image and set-up configuration knowledge & experience* Broad technology skills and knowledge from a support perspective* Basic telephony and networking troubleshooting experience * Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and basic networking concepts* Enterprise printing/faxing/scanning hardware troubleshooting experience* Excellent organization, communication, writing and interpersonal skillsDisclaimerThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees assigned to this position.
