Job DescriptionPosition Title: BSA High Risk Portfolio Analyst

8/8A SUMMARY: Candidates should be experienced with all facets of
reviewing and identifying high risk customers from a BSA
perspective. Similarly, candidates should possess detailed insight
pertaining to the review process for BSA high risk customer
reviews. This role will require a candidate that is disciplined to
work independently and has exceptional time-management skills. JOB
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma
- A minimum of five years' prior BSA, fraud investigation or
related experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be accurate, detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated,
be a skilled time manager, and work well independently
- Must be reliable, committed to the job, and have a genuine
desire to safeguard the bank from reputational risk
- Must be comfortable interacting with all levels of bank
management
- Must be willing to travel as needed within the bank's
footprint
- Proficient in Microsoft office and good working knowledge of
databases
- Must be highly analytical, able to make sound business
decisions, and gauge risk according to the bank's risk
appetite
- Participate in all required compliance training, including Bank
Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering training, as well as internal and
external training programs, online training, meetings, and
seminars/conferences, etc. JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Perform and document due diligence and enhanced due diligence
reviews of high risk customers as assigned
- Research and implement procedural changes and process
improvements under the direction of the Deputy BSA Officer
- Compose action plans to address audit and exam findings and
recommendations
- Perform reviews of customers contained in the Risk Management
Module in Patriot Officer
- Create peer analysis groups and account profiles in Patriot
Officer to enhance high risk customer monitoring and reporting
- Interact regularly with all levels of bank management
concerning high risk customer activity
- Design and compile high risk customer analysis reports for
presentation to Escalation Committee along with recommendations for
account retention or closure
- Coordinate with Corporate Security Department on fraud-related
SARs
- Manage law enforcement investigation cases and inquiries
- Complete SARs related to suspicious activity identified
- Conduct reviews of inherently high BSA risk customers such as
MSBs and private ATM owners
- Gain a good working knowledge of OFAC and foreign customer
identifying documents
- Analyze risk potential of ACH and RDC customers based on due
diligence information
- Field BSA-related questions from bank departments and
branches
- Assist the Deputy BSA Officer with the following as assigned:
- Management and Risk Committee reporting
- Patriot Officer high risk rules analysis
- Correspondence with bank management regarding SAR issues
- Examination preparation
- BSA training topics, materials, and presentations
- Complete assigned BSA/AML training within prescribed
timeframes. Perform other tasks and/or special projects as
assigned.
- Direct BSA High Risk Portfolio Analyst I in matters related to
high risk customer reviews
- Other duties as assigned
