Automation Design ManagerLocation: Greenville, SCAre you an
experienced Electrical CAD designer searching for a management
position that would utilize your abilities, allow you to have a
positive influence on a team, as well as remain challenging? Are

automation/electrical design, standards development and design
reviews for local and regional automation controls projects and
customers. This is a highly visible leadership role reporting
directly to the Owner and responsible for the performance,
production, and development of the Automation Design Engineering
team. This person will need to have relevant experience with a
combination of design, integration, project coordination, and
possess the skills to be adaptable and responsible for large and
small projects alike. The person in this position will also work
closely with our Business Development Managers to support sales and
enable further business growth. In addition to the normal project
design and execution in Greenville, you will also be tasked with
collaborating with our team in Charleston to support design work,
reviews, standards development, etc. as needed. Experience with
AutoCAD Electrical is Required; Experience with Solidworks
Electrical, SEE Electrical, ePlan, or other CAD platforms is a

-Your tasks and duties will include: - - - - - - - - - -Overseeing
the work to be completed by the Automation Designers by delegating
tasks and setting deadlines. - - - - - - - - -Working with the
other managers in the scheduling and allocation of resources on
different tasks/projects. - - - - - - - - -Being a direct point of
contact for all your team members to come to with technical
questions, problems, and issues. - - - - - - - - -Defining job
requirements, interviewing, and hiring additional people to your
team - - - - - - - - -Identifying training needs for your team and
work to ensure we are getting people trained - - - - - - - -
-Setting clear team goals. - - - - - - - - -Monitor team
performance and report on metrics to help improve team efficiency.
- - - - - - - - -Identifying constraints, motivating team members,
and provide coaching.
Primary Responsibilities: - - - - - - - - -Use AutoCAD Electrical
to design electrical, automation and control systems. - - - - - - -
- -Help facilitate standards development for the Electrical team. -
- - - - - - - -Evaluate, document, and improve processes related to
drawing development - - - - - - - - -Ensure the team is following
proper peer review procedures - - - - - - - - -Design hardware
concepts for complex processes - - - - - - - - -Determine and
choose appropriate hardware and devices for automated systems. - -
- - - - - - -Use experience and industry best practices to design
systems in a lead role and/or as part of a larger team.
Additional Responsibilities: - - - - - - - - -Work to further
integrate project management software into design process. - - - -
- - - - -Develop standard components libraries for the team to use
on projects. - - - - - - - - -Work on maintaining and improving our
CAD databases. - - - - - - - - -Estimating projects - - - - - - - -
-Automating functions to make CAD tasks quicker and more effective.
- - - - - - - - -Develop understanding and knowledgebase of
SolidWorks Electrical/ePlan or other CAD software that you choose.
- - - - - - - - -Work with purchasing to incorporate our Everworks'
stock inventory into our standard components library and having the
ability to see what is available to design with on hand. - - -

-ePlan, Solidworks Electrical or SEE electrical training - - - - -
- - - -Enroll in a course for effective management skill
development such as PMPYou have: - - - - - - - - -4-year
engineering degree and/or 5+ years of experience in Autcad
Electrical for industrial manufacturing related machines,
equipment, robot cells, etc. - - - - - - - - -Applicants with
extensive experience in these fields are also encouraged to apply.
- - - - - - - - -Hands on experience of designing and integrating
automated equipment in the fields of automotive, food/beverage,
chemical, metals, or consumer product manufacturing. - - - - - - -
- -Working knowledge of how to read and interpret P&IDs,
instrument spec sheets, and hardware cut-sheets - - - - - - - -
-UL508A knowledge - - - - - - - - -Experience design systems to
meet all applicable standards, including NFPA/NEC - - - - - - - -
-Understands discrete and analog circuits, and how to troubleshoot.
- - - - - - - - -Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
ability to take initiative; highly self-motivated - - - - - - - -
-Ability to follow structured processes for standard drawing
development in a team-based project environment. - - - - - - - -
-Electrical and mechanical aptitude to understand the automation
processes being controlled. - - - - - - - - -AutoCAD Electrical
experience - - - - - - - - -Experience with Fieldbux networks (RIO,
DH+, DeviceNet, ControlNet, Ethernet/IP). - - - - - - - - -Working
knowledge of MS Office 365 software - - - - - - - - -Professional
Engineering License is a plus
