Job Description:

Summary: Ensures a smooth flow of office operations by performing all daily office and inside sales functions, enabling sales engineers to concentrate on their selling activities. Also, they provide a communications link between the customer and the sales engineer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Assume responsibility for order process on the computer system beginning with quote/order entry steps followed by individual order requirements.

Place orders on applicable vendor websites.

Create order confirmations and send them to customers.

Review order acknowledgments for ship dates and pricing discrepancies.

Monitor inventory and order when necessary.

Help prepare orders for shipment or pick up when necessary.

Provide customer service and support to customers via incoming calls or email.

Prepare customer invoices when necessary.

Follow up on Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMA's) to ensure proper credit is refunded.

Scan documents into ERP system.

Other duties as assigned by management

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 3-5 years related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. The ability to write routine reports and correspondence. The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.

Mathematical Skills: Must be able to perform basic mathematical equations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, use of whole numbers, and percentage and decimals.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, the individual should have basic computer skills, knowledge of MS Office Software (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook), and internet software.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described herein represent those that an employee must meet to successfully perform this job's essential functions. While performing this job's duties, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee occasionally must stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, use a keyboard, and reach with arms and hands. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described herein represent those an employee encounters while performing this job's essential functions. While performing this job's duties, the employee is primarily exposed to an office environment but is occasionally exposed to warehouse/shop conditions.
